- Bottled Water : It is important to keep healthy regardless the virus outbreak. Your body will need to be hydrated so that you won’t fall sick easily. You need at least 2 litres of water a day. So keep one handy in your bag
- Hand Sanitiser: We are advised to not touch our face when we are out until we have cleaned them. It is very handy to carry this in your bag to clean your hand and public surface areas
- Mask : Wearing a mask in a crowded area ensures extra protection to prevent other people’s water droplets such as coughs and sneezes from your face.
- Gloves: Wearing gloves is also an extra precaution. Use disposable gloves when you know you will be touching or in contact with other unknown objects frequently but make sure to get rid of it immediately
- Tissue/ Wet wipes : This is helpful when cleaning surface areas in public places
- Vitamin C : This is also the time to ensure your body is getting all the vitamins it needs to maintain a strong immune system

Free online course. There is an abundance of educational resources on the web readily available for anyone who wants to learn. You can go to websites that offer free courses like Udemy, Coursera, Future. So many skills you can learn to master
Homecook Meal. Learn new recipes
You don’t always have to rely on hawker centres and take out meals. Give your mum a break, or whoever does the cooking by shifting meal routines. Take turns cooking a meal. Improvise on your cooking skills by learning new recipes online. There are youtube tutorial videos for cooking just about ANYTHING
Indoor Workout/Yoga Don’t give yourself any more excuses. You can still be healthy and fit indoors. You don’t have to go to the gym or run to the beach. You can do all these at home.
Download a movie online or simply Netflix. Set a time for everyone to watch and enjoy together. You can even prepare popcorns and bites just to make it extra enjoyable

Myths about Covid-19 as adviced by WHO
Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease that is highly contagious and has affected the whole world. Most people infected with the COVID-19 virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness. However, it can be deadly for older people or people with existing health diseases/chronic diseases
As there is currently no cure for Covid19, the best prevention method is to be well informed about the COVID-19 virus, the disease it causes and how it spreads.
Hygiene is an important precautionary method. Protect yourself and others from infection by washing your hands or using an alcohol-based rub frequently and not touching your face.
Stay home and self quarantined. If there is no emergency to be outside, remain indoors as much as possible. If you need to be outside, please practise self-distancing. Self-distancing means being at least 1.5m – 2m away from someone else.
#1 Cold weather and snow CANNOT kill the new coronavirus.
There is no reason to believe that cold weather can kill new coronavirus or other diseases.
#2 The new coronavirus CANNOT be transmitted through mosquito bites.
To date, there has been no information nor evidence to suggest that the new coronavirus could be transmitted by mosquitoes. The new coronavirus is a respiratory virus which spreads primarily through droplets generated when an infected person coughs or sneezes, or through droplets of saliva or discharge from the nose.
#3 Hand dryers are not effective in killing the 2019-nCoV.
To protect yourself against the new coronavirus, you should frequently clean your hands with an alcohol-based hand rub or wash them with soap and water.
#4 ultraviolet disinfection lamp cannot kill the new coronavirus
UV lamps should not be used to sterilize hands or other areas of skin as UV radiation can cause skin irritation.
#5 Spraying alcohol/chlorine all over your body cannot kill the new coronavirus
No, it won’t kill viruses that have already entered your body. Spraying such substances can be harmful to clothes or mucous membranes (i.e. eyes, mouth). Be aware that both alcohol and chlorine can be useful to disinfect surfaces, but they need to be used under appropriate recommendations.

No, antibiotics do not work against viruses, only bacteria.
The new coronavirus (2019-nCoV) is a virus and, therefore, antibiotics should not be used as a means of prevention or treatment.
However, if you are hospitalized for the 2019-nCoV, you may receive antibiotics because bacterial co-infection is possible.

The team at MyCLNQ spent the last 2 weekends packing and distributing masks. Last weekend, we distributed to another 200 families in Yishun. This brings in a total of more than 400 families that have benefitted from our community outreach.

More than 200 families in Sengkang and Tampines received MyCLNQ Kit which included 2 free face masks for each household.
The team at MyCLNQ prepared these kits over the weekend and the distribution began on Sunday with the whole team facilitating the outreach.
Among the first to receive the masks were the families living in Sengkang Compassvale, They also listened to a quick presentation on how they can manage their entire family’s healthcare needs.

Preparing for your wisdom teeth surgery is a great idea for a peace of mind afterwards. Here are some tips that should be on your checklist prior to the surgery.
1.Have a good meal before the surgery. You may want to eat meat because you will be on soft food diet after the surgery. Have a balance meal that is protein rich.
2. Remember to floss and brush your teeth well after meal and before the surgery. This is to ensure that mouth and teeth is clean so that the Dentist can start the surgery and to reduce the risk of wound infection.
3. Arrange a transportation or bring someone with you to the surgery. This is to ensure your own well-beingbecause you may feel disoriented due to anesthesia from the surgery
4.Prepare a soft meal for after the surgery. This means food that require less chewing. Your gums will have holes and it will be painful to have food stuck in there whilst its healing.
Get organised ! Do your grocery shopping for your soft meal diet for the next 10- 15 days. Be ready for your surgery because you need to relax to heal faster.
Gingivitis is a common form of gum disease also known as periodontal disease that causes irritation and inflammation on the part of your gum around the base of your teeth. At times, your swollen gums can also bleed causing discomfort and pain.
Here are some symptoms and signs of Gingivitis
- Swollen/Tender gums
- Dusky red or dark red gums
- Bleed easily when brush/floss
- Bad breath
- Receding gums
The good news is that, prevention of Gingivitis is simply good oral hygiene.
- Floss regularly (after meals and before brushing your teeth)
- Brush your teeth twice a day. Use a toothpaste that contains fluoride to prevent cavities
- Use an anti-septic mouthwash after brushing your teeth for extra care
- Visit the Dentist every 4-6months for check up
